Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actor from America. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are in addition to her numerous. Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, with English origin. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
