Jennifer Rene Psaki
Psaki was the third oldest daughter. She was born to Eileen Dolan Medvey (Psychotherapist, 8] and Dimitrios R. Psaki (Greek, Demetrios R. Psakes), who were both real estate agents. Her grandfather was a Greek who immigrated from Greece in 1904, and her grandmother was of Irish descent. Her parents married in 1976. Psaki also descends from Polish ancestry. Psaki graduated in 1996 from Greenwich High School. In 2000, she earned a degree from College of William & Mary. She is an active Chi Omega Sorority member. Psaki, who was a William & Mary backstroke swimmer, was a member of the William & Mary Tribe Athletic team for two seasons. Psaki began her career in 2001 when she was involved in the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will be an analyst for the 2022 United States elections, and in the presidential election of 2024. In 2023, Psaki will also host a show that MSNBC will stream on its Peacock streaming platform.
